Selection process

WrittenCounts to meritNo sectional cutoff — a single overall qualifying percentage applies, category-wise. Scores are normalised across shifts. Duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates eligible for scribe assistance). Negative marking is exactly 1/3 mark per wrong answer (encoded as -0.333). The notice itself states the section-wise question split is 'only indicative and there may be some variation in the actual question paper' (CEN 09/2025, Para 14.1) — the numbers above are as published, not a guarantee. In case of a shortage of PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies, the qualifying mark may be discretionarily relaxed by up to 2 raw marks (not percentage points) for PwBD candidates only (Para 11.6, 14.1) — not encoded as a formal rule since it is conditional/discretionary rather than automatic.

PhysicalQualifying only, no re-test and no relaxation on the standards themselves. Candidates with 40%+ benchmark disability, Ex-Servicemen and Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) are all exempt from PET (CEN 09/2025, Para 14.2, notes 1, 4, 5) — Ex-Servicemen must still clear the written test and prescribed physical/medical standards for the post.

MedicalCandidates are called for DV in the ratio of 1:1 against notified vacancies, based on CBT merit subject to qualifying PET. Medical standards are graded A-2, A-3, B-1 or C-1 depending on the specific post (CEN 09/2025, Para 3.0, Annexure-A) — not encoded here in detail since they vary post-by-post rather than exam-wide; see the notice's Annexure-A for the exact standard per post.
